We are committed to the continued benchmark of being one of the best run youth leagues in the state of Michigan while promoting sportsmanship,

fellowship, physical development, and citizenship with our collaborative.

The Southeast Michigan Youth Football Association is a non-profit community driven football and cheerleading organization committed to being the best run youth organization in the State of Michigan as judged by our peers, our high school programs and the communities in which we serve.

This Mission is based on:

• Serving as positive role models to our youth as measured by our decisions and actions.
• Working to build the self-esteem of our youth, so that they can confidently pursue and achieve their academic, athletic and life goals.
• Providing exceptional coaching and mentoring to all players and cheerleaders.
• Providing a safe, structured and competitive atmosphere to learn the values of preparation and hard work.
• Southeast Michigan Youth Football Association will be a partner to community middle schools and high schools to prepare youth athletes for ascending levels of competition.
• Offering a scalable league for athletic competition.

Fostering teamwork within our communities for the betterment of our members, future members and collective program.

SMYFA is designed for the improvement and development of the capabilities of individuals, to encourage team athletic endeavors in both Football and Cheer to promote the physical, mental and moral development of youths 6 through 14 years of age, without regard to race, creed, color or religion.  This shall be accomplished by providing the means through which the individual player shall receive education and instruction in football, to develop a sense of fair play, honest and fair competition and true sportsmanship." Our players aren't just members of a team, they are members of our community.  At each game, you get a chance to contribute to these efforts. We believe that sportsmanship doesn't stop at the edge of the field.  Our season closes with a Superbowl and Cheerfest championship between our league teams.
